That Depends, Marble has been used on bench tops for thousands of years and still being used. BUT marble is soft and yes it will scratch and etch. If you are a family with five kids and you won’t be able to handle small marks on your bench tops than marble is not for you.

There is about 6-8 well known reputable brands of Engineered stone in Australia that all have 10 year warranties, if you stick to one of these and avoid home brand stone from large retailers you will be happy with the end result.

In most cases Standard range Engineered stone is the cheapest but some standard range granites can work out better with bigger slab sizes or make use of our offcut rack.

All natural stone is sealed twice by Custom Stone Solutions and it depends on your stone as to weather it needs regular sealing, consult with your installer or speak to our office about the needs of your stone. Engineered stone does not need to be sealed.

  1. Quoting, If you can send us a plan and an idea of colour we can send you an accurate quote, or we can come to your house and bring some samples.
  2. Final Measure up, once we have a confirmation of colour and price and you are ready to proceed we will come to your house and make an exact template of your required bench tops. please ensure that you have available at this time your sinks, hot plate and basins so we can work out your cut outs as all cut outs are done in the factory.
  3. Collect your Stone, once we have a few slabs to collect we will head to the whole sale yards.
  4. Manufacture, Using the latest CNC technology, this process generally takes a few days.
  5. Install, we will organise a time with you to come back and install this process takes about 4-5 hours usually. The whole process usually takes a 5-10 working days from measure up to install.

We travel south to Ballina, Lennox Head, Alstonville, Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Ocean Shores, Pottsville, Murwillumbah, Banora Point, Tweed Heads, Gold Coast, Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Paradise Point, Sanctuary Cove, Brisbane and out to Mount Tamborine.
